The suspended sculpture is located in the stairway from the first floor to the third floor, seen from the exterior as well as all the living and dining spaces.
The dichroic forms of the composition are references to the surrounding palm trees by their shape while the aluminum tubes, which serve as the support for the dichroic fond shapes, reference a sail boat, which was inspired by Wayne Ferguson’s passion for sailing.
The dichroic acrylic palm fond forms spiral around the curved aluminum forms with metal rods creating the illusion that they are floating in space.
Unfortunately Wayne Ferguson died in 2023 and his wife Pam sold the house to Abel and Kitty Toll, who commissioned KVR Studio to clean and refurbish the work in 2025, restoring it to its original glory.
