Dr. & Mrs Wells had been collecting old log cabins for decades which they assembled into one large home. They had originally bought an antique door with art glass, which they assumed I would replace in the new composition of the glass wall. However, I liked the antique quality and using it in the composition fit with the general nature of the newly assembled log cabin with its variety of forms and textures. This approach then became the method of composition for it is a collage of old and new forms, patterns and textures, woven together to create a assemblage that felt both old and new.
