The Guthrie Residence was an important project in my career because it was the first opportunity to apply some of the new techniques I had been developing over the 80’s in shaping light and imagery with clear glass textures, such as prismatic glass and glass lenses, which were laminated to the base sheet of glass while the prismatic glass is assembled with lead cames. I have great gratitude to Newman and Ellen Guthrie for the opportunity ‘to experiment’ on them.
