The client requested a design that was fanciful and colorful for a child’s bedroom ceiling. The resulting work is an assemblage of suspended butterfly forms made of dichroic acrylic that have wings that flutter with air from the HVAC, while the ceiling lights cast and reflect colored patterns onto the ceiling and walls as the wings open and close from the air currents.
