The Gill residence is located on a very natural, rural site surrounded by trees. The Gill’s expressed a strong interest in using natural forms within the composition of the new glass art. To achieve this, prismatic and blown clear glass were used as the primary elements, playing off one another. The blown glass elements visually distort the imagery seen beyond as well as the prismatic elements within the composition. As the viewers move by the glass work the view of the exterior images shift and change as the viewer’s perspective changes, creating a dynamic experience.
